PHOTOGRAPHER AND FLIMMAKER

I was invited to give a photography Master Class for 10 days in the Khanki camp in Dohuk, for 12 Yazidi girls some of them has fled from ISIS after the events in their city  Sinjar.

The course was about  the concept of photography and photo story in order to document their daily life in the camp. At the end of the course the girls had strong stories, so the Z agency volunteered to continue develop their skills to be showed to the world.

I decided to join the team as a volunteer to be a mentor and editor for one year a half. I always visited them to help develop their skills and edit new stories to be send to the media and exhibitions inside and outside Iraq with Z agency Team.

The Yazidi girls photographers, they made impossible to reach their voices to the world and change the concept of women in their community.
